What is a Flat White?
Flat White has more coffee and less foam than a cappuccino. It is prepared with a double shot of espresso and a thin layer of steamed milk, which makes it more powerful and silky. It is the perfect choice if you want a coffee with intensity, but with a creamy texture.
The name Flat White was born in Australia and New Zealand in the 80’s. “Flat” refers to its thin layer of foam, flat and silky, and “White” for the milk that softens the espresso. In Malaga, some would call it something like “a café con leche short of milk and with cream” or simply a half-double, although here we prefer to keep its original name, which is already an international classic.
